  1. This article was about a hugs gladiator school that was found Danube River. The school was huge, larger than two whole Wal-Marts, so large that it "rivals the training grounds outside Rome's Colosseum". I found the sheer size of it surprising as well as the fact that the emperor's son might have watched the gladiators.

  2. The article is mainly about an ancient Gladiator school which was found by archeologists recently. The Gladiator school was huge and about 200,000 square feet. This discovery has been very important to those historians studding the roman times because they got an better understanding on the gladiators. What surprised me was how bid the gladiator school was and that there was even a gladiator 'school', I thought most gladiators did not train and just fought on the skills they had but of course I did think about that there may be some kind of training but I never thought the had special school for it.

There was a digital reconstruction made buy looking at the pictures from the tractor mounted radar/scanner. It is huge, it is the size of 2 wall marts.

I would love to go visit it.The size of the school is huge and I also find that amazing and to think that something that big was built so many years ago.I would like to learn more about that school and what events happened there.

  7. Recently archeologists in Vienna, Austria dug up a roman gladiator school. It was found near the Danube river. " it is absolutely huge," says Franz Humer, scientific director " it is about twice the size of a wall mart". The school was built around A.D. 150. The gladiator school was built to train roman gladiators to fight and to improve skills.

I think it is very interesting how they dug up such a massive building but i wonder ow they actually dug it up if its so big, it must have taken a really long time

  8. This school how it looks and how its described it sounds and looks like a pretty advanced school for those times. if I could go to that school I would go. I would like to compare the different way the people learn and teach the techniques of fighting and the techniques of learning.
Something strange I found out was that the school was huge even bigger then Walmart. There was even floors that were warm and now in this time we started heating floors 2 years ago.
In conclusion I think that for that time the school is very advanced and very interesting in some places.

  9. Archaeologists working outside Vienna, Austria have found remains HUGE Gladiator School. They say it can even rival Rome's Colosseum.

    Summary:
This article mainly talks about how discoveries of other gladiator schools helped determine that this is indeed a gladiator school. But this gladiator school is much bigger and complex than other gladiator schools. Franz Humer, one of the archaeologists who discovered said that it was "one of the most interesting things I can imagine here in my career,". Archaeologists discovered that this school was HUGE, about twice the size of "Walmart". However, this school does resemble other schools uncovered in Rome and Pompeii. In conclusion, I think this discovery is very important for archaeologists who specialize in Romans and for archaeology as a whole. It is a very lucky and important discovery.

  10. This article written by Traci Watson is about a very big Roman Gladiator school found buried in Austria. It is almost one of the biggest Gladiator schools every found on the Roman territory. It is one of the biggest discovery near the Danube River. It fascinated everyone because it was the only size they have every found in a Roman province.

I thought this article was impressive because I've been to Austria and Vienna lots and lots of times but I never actually thought of Austria as a Roman province with a huge Gladiator school buried underneath it.

  11. I think it cool that roman had the technology to travel to Australia and set up gladiator schools because I thought romans only lived in Europe And parts of Asia.

Summary: This article is about gladiator school that was found in Australia. According to the site its twice the size of Walmart so that must be huge like it says in the title. They say these romans where from now a day Turkey.

  12. I found the article really interesting because I have never really read about any gladiator school, and it is just very interesting because I never knew a gladiator school really existed... and the fact that it can become a rival with the Colloseum.

  13. This article was so amzing and i think this is the most amazing article I have ever read. I did not even know that gladiator schools actually exist! That is so cool, because some people have different opinions and they want to bi glatiators! The one thing that supprised me the most is that gladiator school was near the Danube, and Serbia is also famous by river Danube, our geography of country is very beautiful (as you can see) just many people do not know how to use that!
